Task-Based Language Teaching Introduction
Teachers read ‘The Methodology of Task-Based Teaching’ by Professor Rod Ellis. This provides teachers with a teaching format within which lessons can be planned and delivered. After reading, each teacher develops a lesson plan using the task-based language teaching phases Ellis describes.
This paper is designed to provide teachers with a format allowing them to develop TBLT lesson plans. This is not the final say in TBLT lessons, but it provides a solid format to a language teaching and learning approach that teachers often feel does not provide enough structure to the classroom.
